A really pretty, ornate brass table lamp. Quite delicate in look as it has fine engravings on it. It is sturdy, but is not one of the very heavy brass lamps from the 60s or 70s. I do classify this as a retro lamp - quite usual for the time. Exotic and Indian / Asian / Middle Eastern influence. Slight bohemian feel.
As with all vintage items, there are signs of wear, but all commensurate with age. With brass lamps, the bit of tarnish and discolouration adds charm rather being a distractor. It is sound and as I say sturdy. It has a lovely colour to it, not too dull or too shiny.
Perfect size if you are after a smaller, to small medium sized table lamp - great for a bedside table, or a corner table. It isn't big enough to be the main attraction in a ball room! Would look fabulous with many different shades - modern, retro or traditional. And being neutral in its material, it can carry off lots of different colours too.
