I love this painting by Susan Shaw. It is an excellent depiction of wild flowers in a vase - hence its title. It isn't a fussy still life. It captures the wildness of these flowers collected by someone in a field, and put in water for display. The background is also unfussy, free, matching the depiction of the main subject. Mostly blues in tone, but the flowers are white, yellow and blue. A large painting, in a hard cardboard mount, and then framed in a wooden gilt lined vintage frame. Glazed and ready to hang. The rear has some labels on it, one from a gallery and one from the framers. Susan Shaw's work is clearly very accomplished - perhaps you collect some of her work already.
