A stylish and classic art deco style mirror. Mid-century, early retro period. Frameless and original clasps and wooden back. Wonderful shape with a free form curved top - almost like a pair of lips! Good vintage condition and ready to hang.
The stand out feature of this mirror is of course the glass and the amazing bevelled diamond effect edges. I have tried to show this in the images, so please take a good look and utilise the zoom facility to get a good look.
In order for the bevelled effect to be carried out the glass had to be thick and I have to say for the age it is very well preserved with just a few marks in the glass (hard to see), a few black worn away areas around some edges, but few and far between. There are no chips.
These mirrors are great because they have such a standout shape yet somehow remain unobtrusive and will look great anywhere in the house and will complement so many different types of decor - from traditional to contemporary. It is ready to hang, using two eyelets and some string (String could be replaced with picture wire for strength).
