A superb mixed media original painting by Dorothea Huntrod, a Sussex/Kent based artist, prolific in late 20th century. Retailed at £250 when it was displayed in a gallery. A lovely depiction of subtle foliage in a wood. Titled “Old Mistletoe Wood” … the colouring is blues, greys, greens and pink and the combination is quite calming. Mistletoe is associated with colder weather, and Christmas of course, and this picture does ooze a cool calm morning.
This painting would be fit into many different decors and settings. It could be a marvellous bedroom or bathroom painting, or something in a hallway or living room. Could be a perfect painting for an office or business. Or could it even be the perfect painting for a café or restaurant.
We have been fortunate enough to purchase a few more of Dorotheas’ paintings, not all framed. So if you like the style, then there may still be others available in the shop.
Magnificently framed in a limewashed wooden frame, with quality cream mount and good strong string for hanging. Framed in Wadhurst, Kent. This is a quality painting which is in incredibly good condition; painted on colour graph paper.
I hope you can think of a place to display it, as it really is (along with a couple of her other works) are really too good too miss.
