A wonderful mixed media print – large and attractive. This looks like an ink print on linen cloth/fine canvas. Could be a photograph imposed onto the material. The actual black and white silhouette seems to be an evening townscape scene – not sure where. The statue in the forefront suggests possibly London (vague look of Churchill?), but the building and lamps look more French or possibly even American? I leave you to ponder and decide.
The way the glow from the lamps are captured is special. It brings a lightness to the otherwise grey shades. The streets are quiet bringing a sense of calm, and yet expectant excitement to the scene.
The print is lovely, the frame is good quality pine and vintage in itself – a new frame may lift the print even more. Make it more of a statement.
Unusual item though – photographic print on linen – I like it a lot. It is also large so something that could definitely fill a good space – would actually look fabulous in a bedroom, landing, dining room or even a kitchen. A really great unique piece.
