A superb lighting ‘marriage.’
A fairly modernish, maybe 90s, lamp standard with a lampshade, probably a bit older.
Both work well together to produce an aesthetically very attractive and stylish lighting combo.
The wiring etc is well preserved and in good working order. It has a long dark lead.
The lamp standard Is made of beech which is a hardwood. It has a tough finish which gives it the very attractive golden brown finish with a darker stain within the fluted areas.
The standard has been beautifully turned and fluted, in particular the base look fantastic, it is chunky and gives the standard good ballast from the weight,

A classic bell shaped vintage shade. Large in size - 16.5inch base diameter. Beautiful embossed golden cream fabric attached to a quality metal frame and affixed to a plastic/thick card lining. Finished with wonderful cream braid along all edges, including a metallic silver and gold base fringe. Just lovely and classic looking. The embossed material has a slight sheen to it, so when the light catches it, it shines in a glorious manner - and that's before the metallic fringe shimmers too. A perfect sized lamp for a large table lamp or a standard lamp. In great vintage condition. There are some marks on the fabric, and the fringe is a little loose in places, but this lampshade is ready to use. It is a classic vintage bell shaped shade, but the metallic fringe, and the overall combination of colours gives it a very classy and attractive look.
