Massive Vintage Oak Over Mantel Elegant Overmantle Mirror Fire Surround.
A late Victorian over mantel mirror. Would look great anywhere in the house, but originally from the top of a mantelpiece or fire surround.
Supreme quality being made of solid oak and beautifully made to a top quality standard.
The glass is the thick original glass and I have to say incredibly well preserved. There are a few minor flaws you can notice but only on close inspection.
They are beautifully bevelled.
It is all still intact. Wonderful carved highlights and the beautiful turned columns give the frame that distinctive look of class. The finish is well preserved. There is wear to the two small shelves. When the mirror is in situ on the wall these should not notice due to the height.
If you are pushed for height the top decoration above the cornice can be removed, would look great above the door frame in whatever room it goes in if this should be necessary.
There are currently two mirror plates. Boarded backing.
