Marvellously Tall Vintage Brass Column Lamp - working condition 53cm tall

A marvellously tall vintage brass lamp. Gorgeous lines and shape. On a round base stretching upwards with a stem detailed by discs, circles, cones and flat edges. Finished with a wonderful flat round table type ending before the bayonet fitment. Heavy - you can see the quality of the metal underneath. Decent length of gold flex finished in a shiny gold plug - haven't seen one of these before. Wiring looks good, sold as working but not professionally tested. Being a good vintage lamp - possibly from anywhere 70s-90s, there are marks, odd pitting, scratches commensurate with age, but these definitely do not detract from this lamp at all. It has fantastic stature and the odd bit of vintage wear just makes it look what it is - a quality vintage piece. It would carry off a large shade of almost any shape. It has a matt finish currently. Traditionally these tall bases may have carried off a bell shaped or Empire shaped shade - nowadays I think they can carry off lots of differnt styles. And a shade with statement and pizazz would simply complement this great base too!
