Marquetry is a craft and an art of using wood vener to create pictures and patterns on a piece of wood. This is a lovely vintage example of that craft showing a man, his plough, his horses on a very hilly countryside scene. The different veneers used show variations in colour and texture providing a 2D (if not 3D) vision of the scene. The sky looks like is it raining and the ground has been churned up. It is ready to hang and would be a great gift for someone who loves woodcraft, wood, farming, scenery - or a gift for yourself. Ready to hang via a hook. Some indents ad arking, you can see in the photos. All in all in very good vintage condition.
