Long 80’s Unique Hand Painted Wall Mirror Gold and Cream Distressed Finish
The actual mirror is a standard 1980’s one, made of pine with a boarded backing and ready to hang.
I have applied two coats of Annie Sloan cream chalk paint. On top of this I have a applied a deep gold paint. This is a tough paint so rubbing down with wire wool was not fun, but we achieved a delightful contemporary finish which I hope you can pick up in the images, with the original finish and white showing through the top coat in a contemporary distressed fashion. The inner fluted edges and the outside edges have been left largely without gold leaving more of a chalk paint emphasis.
