Delightful coloured aquatints of late 18th century and early 19th century lithographs of two famous London scenes. Wonderful vintage scenes of Westminster Abbey, St Margaret’s Church and The Tower of London. Delightfully engraved by Havell Sn and Havell Jr (hence Havell & Sons). Framed in a classic black and gilt glazed frames. Some marking on the prints and frames, but still lovely depictions of famous sites by well known engravers. Ready to Hang.
One print has the names Havell & Son, Delft, on it. Published in 1821. The other doesn’t have the names on it, but published in 1793 suggesting this lithograph is much older and likely just be Havell Snr, rather than father and son. Both excellent vintage depiction of places in London. Printed much later, likely early 1900s. Framed in classic black frames with some gilt detail. Glazed.
