Limited Edition Signed Print (89/1150) of Mont Orgueil, Pride of Jersey, water colour by Robert John Wolfenden 1997 (66.5cm x 52.5cm)

When I first saw this picture, I thought it was a framed photograph. Such were the colours, the meticulous lines and detail of the painting. And yet it is a print of a wonderful water colour painting by Robert John Wolfenden of the famous Mont Ogueil in Jersey. The pride of Jersey.

Robert John Wolfenden, born in 1938, is a British artist recognized for his traditional style, particularly in maritime and coastal scenes. His works often depict shipbuilding and seascapes, capturing the essence of maritime life. And he certainly has captured the essence of this Jersey shoreline scene very well.

Painted in 1997, this print is probably from soon after. It is a signed limited edition print number 89/1150. It is magnificently framed and labelled at the rear. In excellent condition and ready to hang. There is hardly any sign of damage and only the smallest signs of wear.

This would be a marvellous print to hang in your home or office if you live in Jersey, but similarly if you are looking for a gift for someone who has an affinity to Jersey or indeed this particular location. Or of course a gift for someone who is fond of coastal scenes and fishing villages.
