Laura Ashley metal and wood effect vintage table lamp - needs new bayonet fitment

This is a very attractive Laura Ashley vintage metal and wood effect table lamp. A neo classical style with square base in metal, tall elongated stem in wood effect (resin? or maybe it is wood?) and then a pillar finish in metal. Column like. Very attractive. Lovely combination of the brass type metal finish and the wood looking stem. Would be a statement lamp with the right shade - empire style or bell shaped likely to be a good match. THis lamp is priced on the basis that it is absolutely gorgeous but it is not working at present. It appears to need a new bayonet fitment at the top - I don't believe this is a very difficult mend/upgrade to do, but I have not done it yet. I am selling as not working. Rewiring kits are easy to buy online and use, or someone may have an electrician in the family who can easily upgrade. It is a great looking lamp from one of Britain's trusted household names, so well worth the effort. Have a look at the photos and video - it is lovely.
