Large Vintage Print of Ship Up Channel, The Lahloo Print by Montague Dawson c1973.
The print is dated 1973
It is unusual in that it is seems to be imposed behind some sort of fake glass. Obviously some sort of ‘new’ thing at the time that never took on. It remains really well preserved in the striking gold frame.
Although the original had more colour to it I would suggest that as this is almost a ‘prototype’ that the emphasis on blue hues is an artistic impression by the manufacturers.
It is a superb, of it’s time, imposing print in very good condition and ready to hang.
