Vintage Oval Mirror Painted Shabby Chic in Farrow and Ball.
Early 20th century. Made of mahogany. This has received a primer and three coats of Farrow and Ball Winbourne White eggshell, a slight off white cream. The finish has been sanded to the edges to reveal the wood underneath.
Boarded backing.
There are two modern brass mirror plates to attach the mirror to the wall. You can turn them 180 degrees so the single hole faces inwards. You can then attach wire through the hokes so the mirror plates do not show.
The frame has been recently painted and is in good condition. As with any hand painted product the finish is shabby chic and not a morose factory spray paint so expect some ‘character’ imperfections to the finish.
The thick original glass is beveled, there is some spotting in particular to a patch at about 10.30 to the top left.
