A beautifully handcrafted and handpainted plastercast lamp, oriental Chinese style Gorgeous shape to it and very large. The plastercasting is fine work - you can easily spot the intricate carved like detail, and the main feature of a Chinese dragon is beautifully clear having been handpainted in a different colour - beige on top of the cream background. The lamp is sold as working (I have tested it this morning) but it has not been professionally tested. The wiring looks in good condition, the flex is a decent length. The lamp base is in very good condition - it is handmade and handpainted so there are odd anomalies, it is also vintage so the odd knock and scrape. But all in all this lamp is ready to display and be used. Great oriental style piece. Of course just a thought - if someone is creative and artistically inclined, they may wish to paint the whole lamp and its details - giving it a very different eye catching look - but for those who are not artistic, this lamp is lovely just the way it is.
