Large Vintage Mahogany and Still Life Tapestry Fire Screen
A superb quality mahogany fire screen.
Beautiful still life tapestry within the floral carved frame. Further carving to the feet which have a fine sweep to them. The feet are sturdy, and the screen stands well.
It originally had glass and could be tipped ninety degrees to make a coffee table, see rear photos.
It is well preserved although at some point the left-hand side was left too close to the fire and the finish has blistered, all the front is still fine though.
Imposing and elegant, would greatly enhance any fireplace.
