Large Vintage Iron and Metal Fire Screen Fire Guard 70s
I would date this from the 1970s or before. It was after this date that's this style of fire guard started to be made of far poorer materials and are generally cheap and rather nasty.
This is the real deal. The surround and the feet are made of iron, I think it is handmade. The mesh will be made of another type of metal.
The beautiful feet are well attached and therefore the fire screen stands well and secure.
Condition wise it is very good. There is a tiny little hole to the top of the mesh which I have shown in an image.
What I like about this screen is it has none of those annoying decorative swirls that were popular then and are not now!
There are some signs of wear to the finish but on the whole the condition is very good.
You must take a good look at all of the photographs on the listing and utilise the zoom in facility to check the condition and the marks that are commensurate with age on the screen and mesh.
