Large vintage creamy white alabaster table lamp and matching vintage shade; quality vintage lamp, 1980s/1990s, working condition

This is a super alabaster lamp. Completely gorgeous with its matching white vintage shade. It is a classic shape and very heavy. Wonderful seams of colour ranging from white, cream and light grey throughout the stone. Incredible how these pieces of semi precious stone are carved into such an attractive piec eof home decor. Lovely. The shade is in very good shape - a short Empire line style. In a lovely linen type cream fabric, matching braid at top and bottom, and lined, The lining has a few marks and the wire frame a little rusty, but all in all this shade is definitely fit to be used - quite remarkable actually. The lamp aalso only has marks and scracthes commensurate with age. Notable marks to mention are scratches on the rims; these are not that noticeable and could be polished out if required but actually are fine in my opinion to be left as is. Quality lamp. It is working, and has been pat tested in the past. I have not had it professionally tested. The two pieces together are gorgeous and vintage; I will probably post them unattached or attached in a way best for postage - please assemble as required. Of course you may want to buy a more significant shade for this large base - it certainly would carry off many different shapes and styles and colours!
