Superb Large Pair of Thick Pottery Slipware Fish Serving Plates
My friend told me that this is slipware and that if you are buying slipware you will know whether or not it is so I'm advertising it as advised, as slipware and certainly having looked at slipware on Google it does appear that's exactly what it is!
I would take this from either the 1970s or 80s.
The absolutely beautiful design and glaze give these two serving plates real authority. Beuatiful large a heavy with a quirky, cute decoration.
There are no chips or cracks and the condition is good. On the white you can see there is some minor crazing to the glaze. But to be honest with you, I think that just makes then look more authentic and characterful.
The price is for the pair.
Obviously, perfect for practical use and just as lovely solely using them as decoration.
