Stunning Unique Vintage Painted Oval Mirror in Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light Blue.
This is a simply beautiful upcycled 60s or 70s vintage oval mirror.
It has been hand finished and looks absolutely stunning.
The actual mirror is made of wood and is covered in a composite moulding which is still fully intact. The frame was originally covered in a gold finish which in a number of places had been compromised.
So, we applied two undercoats and three top coats of Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light Blue estate eggshell which has a soft sheen to it.
I would describe the Borrowed Light as a light duck egg blue.
We have then Wire woolled the finish so the gold from underneath comes through and leaves the fantastic finish that you can see in the images.
The thick original glass is bevelled and very well preserved and in good condition.
Boarded backing with eyelets and string.
