Large Quality Vintage 20s Mahogany Mirror Carved Detail Highlights Superb Heavy Bevelled Glass.
I think this mirror is probably mainland European construction, I would guess French.
Boarded backing, eyelets and a chain.
The thick original bevelled glass is of excellent quality and is very well preserved and in great condition.
It has a hardwood frame with a mahogany veneer and other pieces of carved mahogany detail. This has been beautifully done and the mirror is both unassuming but also very pretty and attractive.
The condition is basically sound, although there are few small pieces of veneer missing to the bottom right and the left hand bottom joint. There has been a repair to the decoration to the top left and just below that another piece of small veneer missing. Shame but it does add a little bit of authenticity to the piece!
All in all, I would generally say the mirror is in a very good condition for the age.
