A pair of large American ceramic bedside lamps. Both attractive and yet subtle which means they really show off the beautiful lampshades.
The classic shaped and turned glazed bases are both in excellent condition. The card to the undersides have been breached for the purposes of access to the cavity, however that really does not matter as it cannot be seen.
The card is marked Made in the USA.
The current wiring is for the American market and the plug will need to be changed. Both of the bayonets seem to be in very good condition and the wiring is as well. It is 2 core wiring. Obviously you can research this online or take to a DIY shop and get advice.

The lampshades are of premium quality and in excellent condition. They are good sized bell shaped shades, which are lined in a lovely white lining material, and the outside fabric is a superb textured gold and deep red jacquard fabric; golden base colour with different embroidered patterns on it. The fabric is luxurious and great quality. Perfect for quality shades. The rows of stitching which runs diagonally on the shade is a combination of deep red, and some lighter beige/golden colours. The bell shaped shade has an inbuilt shade holder to affix to the lamp base. The shade is finished in a beaded fringe - the beads are a translucent pinky/red to bring out the red in the shade, and mixed in with some smaller golden beads. The overall finish is a wonderful classic combination of gold and deep red, but it is not overbearing at all. Classy and elegant. The shades are in excellent condition. The smallest of markings commensurate with age, a few loose threads if you stare closely enough, fringe all intact. All in all - great quality shades in very very good condition. Ready to use.
