A portrait of a pet who must have been very loved. A Pekinese - little dog with a big personality! Lovingly captured in 1994 by the artist. A really outstanding depiction of a dog and a pet. I think it is pastel, but it is very fine and delicate so not 100% sure. If it is pastel then it shows how superb it is.
Very akin to Trick Woo from All Creatures Great and Small by James Heriot.
It is glazed and in a very good quality thick card cream mount. The frame has a delightful distressed gold finish with hues of red and black. All in very good vintage condition. This is a wonderful vintage drawing - signs of wear and age on all are commensurate with age. Delightful doggy portrait. Ready to hang.
