Large Oriental Ginger Jar style Vintage Table Lamp with painted birds, creatures and florals - working condition

A very attractive vintage oriental style table lamp. Wonderful opulent design and finish - lots of gold detail and what I believe are hand painted designs of flowers, botanicals, birds and mythical creatures. Very rich in its detail and its overall styling - sits atop a carved wooden base. In excellent condition and sold as working.

The design is very rich, with the dark blue background, lots of reds, golds, creams and oranges. Beautifully finished with metal finish at the top and the wooden base. Well constructed with solid ceramic/china. Handmade - you can see in the lined of the jar's lid the authentic hand finish.

Condition is really very good for a vintage lamp - no chips, cracks etc to the lamp body. The metal and wood show a few signs of age as you would expect, but overall it is a great presentable piece.

It is sold as working but has not been professionally tested. It will however be sent out with up to date plug and a 3 amp fuse. It would look superb with a large vintage style shade - maybe a big Empire or Bell shaped shade. Could also carry off more contemporary drum shades if this is your preference. Lots of colours to match too - would be quite a lamp and shade combo in a larger room or hall way etc. A statement piece.
