This is a wonderful pair of oil prints on canvas. The frames are very old and so I date these to be circa 1900. I am not 100% certain but I think prints may well be of well known paintings. The details in these rural / farm scenes are spectacular.
The one print is of two farm maids / dairy maids tending to their animals in a farmyard. The other is of rucking bulls in the woods/fields. They both give a glimpse into what the joys and tribulations of being a farmer/worker would have been.
Sadly, one canvas has a hole, shown. The canvas prints do show some blemishes - tiny creases or tears in places. But overall, the colours are bold, the detail superb and the overall picture vg. The frames are great quality wooden frames. They have multiple mouldings to them. The backs show how old these frames are. They are damaged in places but overall have a wonderful shabby, worn, experienced look about them. I genuinely believe that as a pair these can be hung as is and will be definite talking pieces, look very classy albeit aged. There are some worm holes to the back, but these are historical and with no signs or dust definitely redundant.
Of course you may also just reuse the wonderful antique wooden frames!
