Large Imposing Pierced Brass Victorian Fender Fire Guard Vintage Fireplace
An impressive huge Victorian brass fender.
All the fretted piercings are intact.
The brass is in fine condition.
Please take a good look at the images to check the quality and condition.
As is customary, the inner metal tray is covered in surface rust. You will see in the images that the sheet is quite deep, and you will notice it is because a rear ‘extension’ was added many moons ago. The back of the original sheet has eroded to the centre.
This should be easy to remove with an angle grinder.
A grand fender for a grand fireplace. The brass will clean-up, but looks great as is; age-worn.
