Large ethnic carved wooden vintage table lamp - South Pacific

This is a super bit of carved woodcraft - making a lovely table lamp with a bit of unique quirk and ethnic charm. Very likely made abroad - I would say Asia or Pacific area given the subject matter of the carving. Carving detail includes patterns of course, but also trees, a village hut and likely a villager at work. It has been kitted out with flex and a bayonet fitment, and a lampshade holder (pls note I may remove this for packing and delivery). The carved base has been stained/varnished at some point and the stain has got markings on it in places you would expect eg the rims and edges. I haven't re stained these as you might like this more rustic look. Similarly, I have given the lamp a good clean, but I am not saying I have been able to clean it up perfectly. The metal lampshade holder is rusty. The current plastic bayonet fitment is missing its top piece, as the lampshade would sit on the wire frame - but you may wish to remove the wireframe and use a standard lampshade fitment. These are easy to buy or find it a charity shop etc. With a large bold shade, or maybe something a bit earthy like bamboo/wicker shade, this lamp will come alive and display its wonderful handcraft. Please note this lamp is working but its wiring has not been tested or upgraded.
