Large Bone China Royal Doulton Dinner Service ‘Provencal’ Pattern
My research has not been conclusive as one source said this pattern produced said 1966, the other 1996.
However, as ever it is Royal Doulton and superb top of the range bone china.
The condition is on the whole excellent. Some of the central patterns are worn a bit and the range has been collected over years so the shapes are not all perfectly symmetrical.
Not a complete set but this very much more than adequate for the average household, indeed the plates leaving much scope for breakages.
8 large dinner plates 27 cm, a few minor surface maeks but otherwise very good condition.
8 smaller dinner plates 27 cm, a few minor surface marks and the central pattern worn on a few of them, the edges remain very good still.
4 pudding bowls 17.5 cm, two worn to the centre.
6 side plates, diameter 16.5 cm
5 cups and 10 saucers.
Gravy jug and saucer.
2 sugar bowls.
Cake plate.
Meat / serving plate 33.5 x 26 cm. There is wear to the central pattern, although the pattern to the edges is fine.
