This vintage oval mirror has a beautifully aged shabby chic charm, with an ornate distressed white frame and foxed mirror glass. It's a perfect statement piece for lovers of French country, farmhouse, Bahamian, and antique aesthetics. The frame features a timeless design, ideal for vintage and rustic interiors, with decorative detailing around the edges that adds real character.
It has a naturally aged finish, with areas of exposed wood and the original finish worn away, giving it an authentic shabby chic look. The paint has been historically applied and has a mid-sheen finish.
It’s important to take a very good look at all the images and use the zoom feature to really appreciate the look and finish of the frame.
Very much in keeping with the distressed look of the frame is the aged mirror glass. This is the original thick bevelled glass, with some foxing and speckling that enhances its antique appeal. However, if you are more particular with your taste, this might not be for you.
It has a later boarded back and eyelets for attachment.
The condition, as described above, is very much shabby chic, with a small piece of the exterior decoration missing. The frame is made of solid wood and is covered with moulded gesso; a small piece of this is missing.
