Large 1968 Mixed Media Painting Boxgrove Priory Sussex. Joyce Barnett. Tasteful Victorian Gilt Frame.
It is nice to have the location to the back, but this is a lovely standalone original painting of an old ruin of a building.
I am not sure of the different 'mixed media,' obviously watercolour and other different applications.
A stunning painting displayed at the 1968 Annual Exhibition Coventry and Warwickshire Society of Artists.
In an older gilt frame with some areas of damage shown where the gesso has been lost. But a wonderful gilt glazed frame anyway !
The carcass of the frame is wood with the traditional white moulded gesso and the gold finish. Please check the damage out in the images.
