John Colet Dean of St Paul's Cathedral Antique Portrait Coloured Engraving Georgian Print Framed

Wonderful piece of British history, John Colet (1467-1519) was a Catholic priest and educator. Engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi (1727-1815), an Italian who was based for many years in London. It was published by I. Chamberlaine August 24th, 1795. Nice subtle colour tones and in a very nice antique wood frame with gilt border.

It is glazed with a wood panel back and is ready to hang. It is in good condition, close to very good for its age. There are a few small spots on the print, it has an off-white patina with pinkish hues, though this may be the colour of the paper it is printed on. Frame, glass and wood backing are nice and tidy.
