Impressive Top Quality Victorian Standard Lamp. Very Heavy.
Outstanding vintage Victorian standard lamp. You will see lots of these but very few that have a lump of iron in the base to keep it very well anchored to the floor and difficult to knock over. The quality and condition is excellent.
This is very unusual to fine a lamp of this age that has been consistently cleaned and to maintains the lovely soft gold appearance. This would of course clean up to a shiny gold, but I'm leaving as is because I think it looks great already.
It is a very elegant looking lamp, I think it has just the right amount of decoration and style to look fantastic in a vintage themed home because it is a very unfussy design,, unlike lot of Victorian standard lamps, which by today's standard of fashion are design wise a little bit too over the top.
As you can see in the images it is very well preserved. There are a few minor dents to the base, which you would expect, I believe this only really adds some authenticity to the appearance.
The wiring is in good condition. It is good quality and perfectly fit for purpose. It has obviously been recently upgraded to a very good standard.
This is too large and heavy to send with the traditional small parcel couriers so this will be sent with a proper furniture delivery firm and delivered directly to your door. They will arrange a suitable time with you for delivery.
