Impressive Mid-European Beech Painted Standard Lamp.
A very stylish vintage lamp standard oozing vintage charm.
I would date this as early 20th century.
It is made of hardwood beech so is very good quality. It is very classy looking and stylish but also simple in design so will suit today’s contemporary interior fashion.
It was bought from a stall at the Ardingly antiques fair from traders who had imported their wares from Germany or thereabouts. They were not too chatty!
It will obviously need rewiring.
This is very good quality and stands very well.
Very large base! It has a very tough finish to it, so it is well preserved. There are some small marks to the base and to the bottom mark a dark mark that you can see in the images.
The wire feeds through the centre of the lamp. It still has the original bayonet that you may well wish to replace.
The base unscrews and will be sent unattached to cut down on the risk of any damage during transit.
