This is a statement piece that combines the industrial look of iron with the elegance of glass. The upcycled design gives the table a vintage, worn-in appearance, adding character to any room.

I would date the bass from the 1950s or 60s. It is lovely quality being made of iron. Lovely decoration and the double cabriole legs lend this an iconic classic mid century look.

When I bought this the base was in a bit of a mess. All I have done is I have wire woolled and sanded many areas of it. So you have a combination of the original black paint, shiny gun metal and surface rust.
Therefore, it has a beautiful, age-worn finish. But it is also a blank canvas. You can clean it up further by removing more of the paint and rust, then simply repaint it as is. You wouldn't really need to do any prepping.

Someone who's gone too an enormous amount of cost to get some new glass cut so there is a small motif to the corner with a 'Toughglaze' motif on it, so I presume this is toughened glass.

The glass is in fantastic condition, it is one centimetre thick and very heavy. Because this is an old item I have put tape to one corner and tape to the corresponding leg as it does not set within the aperture unless the glass is placed in this way.

It is a very good size and the weight of the base and the glass maids if you knock into it you won't spill your coffee or drinks!

It is an outstanding aesthetic piece, completely unique and of fine quality.

This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
