Iconic Danish Teak Vintage Retro Poul Hundevad Coffee Table on Castors Bedside Side Occasional. Nesting Nest with 4 Auxiliiary Folding Tables.
This is a superb set of Poul Hundevad nesting tables, a real iconic era defining nest.
The legs are all made of solid teak and the tops are a teak veneer on board.
You will see quite a lot of these sets of tables online that are cheaper.
Where these are superior is many of these tables have very worn veneers and often the runners, which the tables nestle on are very worn.
You'll see in the images the area where the smaller tables make contact with the runners have a few small areas that have been filled, it is a common fault with these tables that because the veneer is repeatedly contacting the runners, it naturally loosens some of the veneers. I have filled the areas where some of the veneer has been broken away and there are no loose areas.
What I'm getting at and I'm probably not doing a very good job of, is these or not what I would describe as age worn but on the whole are well preserved.
Apart from the aforementioned filled areas, the condition is generally very good, certainly the bases on all 5 tables remain in very well preserved condition. The castors work fine.
There is some water staining to the surface of the main table and two of the round tables, so please take a good look at all of the images and utilise the zoom in facility to have a good look.
This is a fantastic set and to be honest with you probably the best thing to do with them is to break them up and use them around the house, the main table can be used as a side table anywhere in the house or of course as a coffee table and the smaller tables could be utilised as bedside tables, occasional tables, plant stands and wine tables.
Please note the long legs to the main table simply unbolt and I will be sending the main table with the legs unattached in order that I can send it safely without any damage incurred.
