This is a stunning hand painted upcycled wall mirror.
The mirror is probably 40 to 50 years old. It is a composite frame, very ornate and pretty.
I have applied three coats of white emulsion. I have not added any fancy top coats of branded paints, eggshell etc as the process of removing the paint to leave the fantastic finish would not be possible with thick gloopy top coats. So we are left instead with a very clean finish, which was achieved by wire woolling the paint to expose the original gold coloured finish underneath.
It looks incredibly impressive.
The eyelets and rope/string to the back can be reconfigured should you wish to display the other way.
It has a good quality bevelled glass mirror which is very well preserved.
These large mirrors are fantastic as wall mirrors or over mantels, apart from being great to look at the reflection and the size makes your room look spacier.
