Huge Vintage 80s Gold Gilt Wall Mirror Bevelled.
This is a lovely top quality bevelled gold mirror from the 1980s.
Not to be confused with one of the many cheap Far Eastern mirrors flooding the markets and tacky generic home and garden outlets, this is a very good quality, the frame is made of wood and it is a good thick glass.
The frame is made of solid pine and has been covered in a moulded gesso or composite and the lovely finish that you see.
I particularly like the finish as so many of these reproduction mirrors are very garish and bright and this is a nice understated and subtle gold, with black highlights.
The frame is in very good condition, there are some signs of wear to the back of the corners which do not notice too much when you look full on and to the top right hand side that is some wear to the moulded decoration.
The mirror is bevelled and in very good condition.
The mirror has a boarded backing and rather usefully there are two pairs of eyelets so you can easily adjust the way you hang the mirror should you wish to.
This is a very impressive piece and very good quality.
