This is a grand and impressive vintage 1960s-70s mahogany pedestal kneehole desk with a lovely faux green leather top. The desk is designed to split into three sections above the pedestals, making it easier to transport and assemble. Crafted from a mix of mahogany and composite plywood, a standard construction for its time, it showcases a high level of quality and durability.

The desk features nine drawers, although the bottom two drawers on both sides are actually double drawers, offering additional storage space. So in total seven drawers. All the drawers are clean, run smoothly, and retain their original brass drop handles, adding to the desk’s classic charm. The solid mahogany frame brings a touch of sophistication and depth to the overall design.

The top section is equally well-preserved, with an unusual and eye-catching faux leather surface that adds a quirky element to this elegant piece. As expected with a piece of this age, there is minor surface wear from use, but the excellent condition of the wooden surface underneath highlights the quality of the craftsmanship.

This desk is larger than most, offering plenty of space to spread out and work comfortably. It’s currently in use in my study, where I’ve added a protective MDF layer to the top—proof of its practicality and sturdiness. Whether for a home office, study, or creative workspace, this desk combines style, functionality, and a touch of vintage charm.

This will be delivered by hand by a proper furniture courier.
Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.
There will be a cost anywhere else so please, contact us for a quote.
This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
