Huge, Sumptuous and Large Vintage Marble and Gold Decorative Bedside Lamp.
This is an incredibly attractive marble and brass table lamp which I would date in between 1950 to 60.
Delightful marble fluted decoration to the column beautifully augment the delightful top quality ornate gold decoration throughout. The metal parts are, I think, made of spelter with a painted gold finish. In places the gold has been compromised and you can see the grey of the spelter come through.
The bottom piece of marble is lighter than the upper piece which may well be down to being nearer the light bulb.
The beauty of these lamps of course is the weight which keeps them well and truly anchored on the surface.
The condition is very good indeed. There is some tarnishing to the brass which you would expect of course and the marble is beautifully preserved.
This is just such a quality piece, beautifully made to a very high standard.
The lamp is in good working order and the plug bayonet wire are all in good condition.
