Huge Stylish Vintage Walnut Over Mantel Mirror Fireplace Wall.
Late Victorian.
Originally this was an over mantel mirror, however it would look amazing in any room in the house.
Constructed of walnut to a very high standard, it would have come out of a very grand house!
It is very stylish and would add a touch of class to any room without being too overwhelming.
Marked to the rear, Wm Morris and Co, Art Furniture Manufacturer, Curtain Road, London.
There are six thick original bevelled glass mirrors. I have to say these are remarkably well preserved. Not perfect, but for the age as good as.
The walnut frame is outstanding in all departments. Beautiful decoration, carvings and turned columns.
It is very well preserved too. There are no major blemishes, just the very odd routine mark commensurate with age. See images. I think it has just sat in a house for a very long time and been left in the same place and been left to shine!
Quality solid wooden panelled backing.
Two mirror plates for attachment. You will want to get some additional plates if it is not being left sitting on a fire surround as was intended.

If you are pushed for height space, you can always take the top decoration off. Maybe stick it above a door frame. Without the top decoration it is 111 cm tall.
