This is an absolutely delightful original watercolour, attributed on the back as Wastdale Head Lake District.

It is a typical Lake District vista, the most beautiful place in England. I really love his style and use of colours it lends itself to making this a really interesting picture and not just your bog standard dull watercolour.
It is set within a frame typical of the period. Made of wood with a moulded covering and the black and white stripes, with a very light cream finish. White and gold trim to the aperture.
It has a top quality thick card mount which has been hand lined. Unfortunatey, there are what looks like small patches of mould or something in between the glass and mount. I quite like this because it adds a real look of age worn authenticity to it. However of course you can remove the back, and in my experience generally the mould can just be dusted off as it is dry, although I cannot guarantee it.
It has a boarded backing and eyelets and string.
