Huge Decorative Solid Oak French Wall Mirror Bevelled Glass 6 ft

This is an outstanding French solid oak wall mirror.
It is late Victorian or early 20th century.
You will need relatively high ceilings for this mirror as it has a 62 cm gap between the top of the frame and the top of the mirror.
Made and designed in the classical French style, with the long fluted length of straight oak and the beautiful cleverly carved decoration and cornice to the top.
Lots of this French furniture had a very dark stain on it, this however is a simple light oak finish and therefore far more contemporary with today's interior décor. It has a very warm look to it, and should fit in nicely in your house whether you favour vintage or modern furnishings.
It is in very sound condition. Importantly the original bevelled glass is in very good condition, many of these French mirrors are prone to spotting and general deterioration.
You will notice in the images there is no backing. Backing woods is fairly unnecessary and generally just stops the wood from being flush with the wall. There is no evidence to show that there ever was any backing wood.
I would describe the condition of the frame as very good to excellent. This is beautiful preserved and maintained all of this aged charm and character.
