This is a delightful late Victorian dressing table mirror. Much of the main carcass is made of pine and is covered in a mahogany veneer. The distinctive barley twist mirror supports are solid mahogany.
We find this dressing table in very good condition.
I will say at this early juncture the only major flaw is the carved foot to the front of the mirror is lost and has been replaced a few inches back by a piece of word which has been located here so it cannot be seen and to keep the platform steady.
To the top of the mirror there is some black deterioration but apart from that the original thick glass for the age is in very good condition.
As indeed is the rest of the wood which is very well preserved and apart from a few tiny splits, which you always find with these thin curved fronted mahogany strips which are imposed on a pine carcass. So make sure you take a good look at the images to check this out.
A lovely trinket compartment for your jewellery or precious things with a velvet interior.
