This is a striking large antique mahogany wall mirror dating to the late 19th century, crafted in a classic Georgian or Victorian revival style. The mirror features a beautifully shaped arched top with a solid mahogany frame finished in a rich, warm reddish-brown tone and simple moulded detail around the inner edge. The mirror retains its original glass plate which shows some age-related spotting and foxing, giving it an authentic vintage character ideal for period interiors or eclectic décor. For the age, the mirror is very well preserved.

The back of the mirror is panelled wood, showing the sumptuous quality of the product. It is fitted with two new sturdy brass hanging plates on each side for secure wall mounting. Additionally, there are the remnants of the original side fixings, suggesting this mirror was once mounted on a cheval base, adding to its provenance and unique appeal.

The condition overall is good and solid, with the frame structurally sound and no significant damage. There are some cosmetic marks, minor knocks, and surface wear consistent with age and use.

This mirror is a highly decorative and functional piece, perfect for use as an overmantel mirror in a sitting room, as a statement hallway mirror, or as a vintage focal point in a bedroom. Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.
There will be a cost anywhere else so please, contact us for a quote.
This will cost us between £60-80 to deliver, so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
