This is an absolutely superb imposing 1970s gilt wall mirror.
Like many of these ornate mirrors from this era, this is made of a strong composite material.
It is a beautiful swept design, the gold is not too flashy so it has quite a subtle look and the lovely pierced decorations, to the 8 mainly decorative parts really give this a superb and classic original Victorian vintage look.
The glass is new, clearly the original glass has been broken. Because this is a composite material it is difficult to place a glass within the frame as the glass cannot be pinned in. In this case someone has used a composite mastic filler of some description to hold it in place and this has been achieved very effectively.
The overall condition of this mirror is very good, there are a few minor blemishes to the frame but nothing that sticks out. The frame is completely intact.
You can hang this mirror either way, the way that it is shown in the photograph the hanging method is a makeshift effort and if you hang the other way there is the original eyelet.
