What a magnificent piece of furniture this, someone who spent an enormous amount of money restoring and upcycling this late Victorian early Edwardian chaise long. It wouldn't be unfair to describe this as sumptuous and would bring a spot of class and high end decor to your home.
The frame is made of a hardwood probably mahogany or walnut. Not to the chaise longues deteriorate over time with children jumping over them and general misuse however this has been looked after well and is structurally in excellent condition.
The beautiful wooden decoration and gorgeous bum feet have all been painted in a dark grey and this is been polished and distressed and blends beautifully with the fantastic upholstery work.

Whether in your living room or in your bedroom this is a beautiful place too plank yourself on put your feet up read a book and unwind.

This piece has been professionally refurbished and reupholstered. It has been finished in a wonderful grey chenille velvet type fabric. It has that wonderful sheen to it, whose weave changes as you run your hand along it. Lovely soft fabric so terribly luxurious. The grey is finished with a wonderful contrasting turquoise edging both front and back, and the sides. These colours go very well together and are further enhanced by coloured fabric covered buttons.

There are numerous pinched buttons on both the reclined back and the side panel. All giving the piece a wonderful elegant and quality air to them. The buttons are a mixture of fabric colours including cream, a turquoise to match the edging and pink fuschia. Super combination which blends well with the overall presentation of the chaise.

As you would expect though from a piece which has been loved in a home, three button finishes/tops have come off and so if you look carefully there are three silver metal unfinished buttons on the chaise - one the back, two on the sides. These metal ones are noticeable if you look very closely. They could presumably be 'bodged' and covered up with some newly recovered buttons stuck on. Or you could get them professionally done (or possibly used as part of a upholstery project) - an upholsterer friends reckoned you're looking at 3 hours or so to get them professionally redone. Personally I would probably choose a complementing fabric cover like size button tops myself and glue them on.

The overall fabric finish is in excellent condition, hardly a mark to be seen - it was an excellent finished job when refurbished, and makes this piece a truly attractive piece - the quality of a Victorian antique, brought to life for a contemporary home.

This will be delivered by hand by a proper furniture courier.
Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.
There will be a cost anywhere else so please, contact us for a quote.
This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
