This is a lovely water colour painted by Nigel Fox Bassett in Kent, England. It depicts a summer garden beautifully. How many of us grow those very pretty and attractive and abundant Geraniums in pots and planters, for some summer colour. They are hardy and always deliver. They sit so attractively against the rest of the garden, and we all learn to love and expect them.
The artist has captured this very common scene well in his painting. It is well executed, with great detail in the flowers themselves, both in the pot and alongside the pot. The heavy urn is also well painted. It is a lovely vertical painting which would not look out of place in a garden room, sunroom, conservatory kitchen or hallway, it definitely brightens up a space.
