The quality of the carvings and quality of the wood, finish and design is fantastic. An occasional chair that would look great anywhere in the house.
Beautiful carvings to the mahogany frame which is incredibly well preserved and in very good condition. It sits on brass and porcelain casters which are original.
Sturdy and the joints are good. Always amazes me how something so long can be so well preserved.
The upholstery is later and on the whole looks fine, there is some wear to the front right corner as you look at the chair in the photographs.
It is fine to sit on however the material underneath is tatty and it looks to me like it has lost some stuffing because it feels very springy, although fine to use though.
This is an outstandingly attractive chair which version font to use Springs all stuffing somehow don't feel right
