Elegant Vintage Late Victorian Mahogany Piano Stool with Storage Compartment Soft Blue Fabric

This is a beautiful and top-quality Edwardian piano stool, made of mahogany. The craftsmanship is absolutely fantastic, and it also features the added benefit of handrails for your convenience. The finish is age-worn. Certainly, the original finish has deteriorated over the years, but the subtler tones and patina that remain are certainly more in keeping with today's interior fashion.

The stool is very sturdy, and the joints are solid. There are some signs of filler where it appears that additional dowelling or screws were added to reinforce the structure, but overall, it remains intact.

There are some signs of wear to the mahogany, particularly on the handles. The original brass arm inside is missing, but during reupholstery, part of the hem was used to create a stop to prevent the seat from falling backwards.

On the whole, the fabric is in very good condition, with only minor signs of wear and possible finger marks.
